Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana met in the 80s in Italy while they both worked for the same fashion brand. They decided in 1982 to start their own design consulting firm. They presented their first collection in 1985 called "Real Women", which was an instant success. Dolce&Gabbana offer feminine, sensual and conformist models. Following this, they launched a line for men that was just as brilliant and the duo quickly became a must-have fashion brand.
Born in Milan, Stefano Gabbana studied fashion in Venice, while in Sicily, Domenico Dolce learned from his father, a tailor who created jackets. They meet in the 80's and worked at the same fashion company in Venice. Their chemistry is undeniable and the two men demanded a special, strong style, glamourous and very visual while their look was still very sober. From the beginning, they have had excellent relations with the world of show bizz and celebrities, which allowed them to gain notoriety.
