Charlotte Olympia Dellal was born in South Africa. On graduating in 2004 from Cordwainers College in London, she launched her eponymous label in 2008. Her designs are inspired by the glamor and sophistication of the 50s, pinups and actresses from Hollywood's golden age, like Rita Hayworth. Her immoderate love for wallets and high heels and a very assertive idea of sophistication leads to constantly inventing new forms treated with a humorous and offbeat touch. In 2011 she was awarded an Accessory Designer Award by the prestigious British Fashion Council.
