Celine is the name of the founder of the brand, Céline Vipiana decided to launch her own brand of shoes for children with her husband in 1946 in Paris. Beloved by the press and the fashion community, Phoebe Philo is the big name behind the iconic Céline brand. Born in Paris and raised in London, she studied at the College of Central Martin Art and Design in London. She began her career working with young designers before joining Chloé house, first as assistant and then as a designer, with whom she remained for five years.
