About the Brand
A.P.C was created by Jean Touitou in 1987. A.P.C means Atelier de production et de création. This brand is even qualified "normal hysterically." And this is justified because, at its launch, the clothes did not have any label. The brand is said to be deliberately "anti-elitist" and refuses to be promoted by celebrities, there are not any fashion shows and the creator refuses to see his brand showed during the Paris fashion week . However the success is here. A.P.C. now offers a full line of ready-to-wear and accessories for men and women with over 50 stores across the world. Advancing in time with collaborations such as that with Carhartt, APC celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2012.
Jean Touitou, creator of the A.P.C. brand, is born in 1951 in Tunis. He arrived in Paris at nine and worked for Kenzo for who he exercised many functions in 1978 and then he worked for Agnès B in 1983 for who he participated to the opeing of the store in New York. Autumn/Winter 2016-17 Collection
For the Spring-Summer collection 2016, Jean Touitou revisits Parisian classics: a minimalist style, offering timeless pieces, perfectly cut and covered with a deliberate nonchalant style. New shapes, the Grenelle, Greenwish and Camden bags are worn on the shoulder for a casual style. With their minimal and feminine lines, the bags reflect the A.P.C. universe. The colours are fresh and delicate.
