About the Brand
Pioneering and nonconformist, influenced by Baroque and Gothic art, the singular style and brand image of the fashion house Alexander McQueen have enabled the brand to gain a place in the world of fashion. Founded by Lee Alexander McQueen, a talented British designer trained at St Martins School of Art in London, the brand is closely linked to its designer. Extravagant, sensitive, nonconformist, dark and endearing style of the designer trained at Givenchy quickly made an extraordinary creator, applauded and recognized by all for his talent. The Legend and Heroin handbag lines are true iconic models.
"After the premature death of Lee Alexander McQueen in 2010, his right arm Sarah Burton took over the artistic direction. Also trained at the prestigious St. Martins School of Art in London, Sarah Burton quickly became the Creative Director of Alexander McQueen, with whom she worked closely for 14 years. True to the legacy of its creator, she now writes a new page in the history of the brand. With passionate skills and artisan expertise, the collections show the heritage of the brand to which she adds her expertise, her taste for embroidery and ornamentation, as well as a more feminine sensitivity and a romantic and dark allure at once.
