While Jack made his first classes in strict schools where the uniform is mandatory, Lazaro was introduced to the world of fashion in the hairdressing business of his mother. The two are inseparable, and share the same vision of the brand Proenza Schouler. They are a modern company, which makes the modern woman a fashionista who has the soul of an adventurer, both preppy and street ... Their talent is repeatedly awarded at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Award, which honors the best designers of the year. They receive the title of the best designers of the year 2004, top designers for their women's collection in 2007, 2011 and 2013, and 2009 for their accessories collection.

Proenza Schouler was founded in 2002 thanks to the association between Lorenzo Hernandez and Jack McCollough, and the association of the maiden names of their mothers. They met in the halls of the prestigious Parsons School of Design New York, causing the fusion of two innovative minds. The brand quickly meets a great success thanks to the support of fashion personalities such as fashion director at Barney's or Anna Wintour, who heads the U.S. Vogue. Proenza Schouler is different thanks to simple lines, collections which are both urban and modern where art still holds a prominent place.
