3.1 Phillip Lim
In 2005, aged 31, Phillip Lim founded the iconic brand he named 3.1, a reference to his age. The success was immediate, especially among critics and clients. The inaugural presentation of the 2005 autumn collection during the New York during Fashion Week was unforgettable. The designer himself defines the style of the brand as "classic with a touch of madness." His work is often audacious, but always anchored in reality. In 2009 he launched a collection of shoes and underwear called 3.1 Phillip Lim initials. In October, Lim was honored by the City of Seoul Korea with an invitation to open the Seoul Fashion Week. Moreover, mindful of the environmental problems, he launched a line environmentally responsible: Go Green Go. In March 2011 saw the brands first nomination for CFDA.Phillip Lim was born in Thailand in 1973 to Chinese immigrant parents. The civil war hit Cambodia and so the family fled to Southern California. When Adeli moved to New York, Phillip Lim remained in the Los Angeles area and co-founded his first label, Development. Four years later, Lim decided to launch a personal collection with a friend and business partner Wen Zhou. He then moved to New York. Phillip Lim launched his iconic brand, 3.1 Phillip Lim, in autumn 2005 which caused an immediate sensation."Stop and smell the flowers", both very poetic and very realistic. This new collection by Phillip Lim advocates biological wealth. The designer also offers a range of representative colors: forest green, dark blue and sandy beige. The accessories are adorned with floral and bucolic prints. We find the iconic Pashli and Alix in a mini or medium format and declined in the colors of the season.
