Despite the wild success of the ultra-compact PS1, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez still take an interest in the shopper. Not ones for doing things by halves, the Proenza Schouler team just launched a slouchy, highly functional XXL version. An immense but seriously cool bag, it will make room for all your essentials (and more) in the most stylish way possible.

Collection Proenza Schouler

The Proenza Schouler brand was founded in 2002 by the artistic duo of designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. After meeting at the Parson's School of Design, they decided to join forces to present a thesis. This first collection caught the eye of the department store Barney’s who bought all pieces. The designers then renamed their label Proenza Schouler, a combination of their mothers’ maiden names. The New York fashion brand is renowned for its ability to mix artisanal elements and urban comfort. This explosive cocktail is also reflected in accessories. In 2008, the brand launched its first handbag: PS1. Practical and chic but relaxed, this pouch is still one of the best-sellers of the label.

One of them is from Miami; the other spent his childhood travelling, before moving to San Francisco. When Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough met shortly before starting Parson's School of Design, they had one thing in common: they were not New Yorkers. As they took several courses together, they soon decided to work as a duo, including on the design of their final collection. A bold but rewarding decision since the clothing line launched their professional collaboration by becoming the first collection of the Proenza Schouler brand.
