Aquazzura

This Spring, Edgardo Osorio explores sun-drenched destinations with some truly chic and feminine pieces. From Italy to Spain via Morocco, the Colombian-born designer brings us elegant, original shoes, with an extra touch of eccentricity that makes them so appealing. For us it was love at first sight, it will be for you too.

In 2011, when Edgardo Osorio was only 25, he co-founded the Aquazzura luxury brand. His innovative designs and high-end products rapidly made him famous in the industry. With his partner Ricardo D'Almeida Figueiredo, the shoe designer also bet on social networking, an underused segment at the time. Thanks to the contribution of some of the most popular influencers, the duo presented their creations via street-style photos. Word of mouth started spreading and department stores quickly became interested in the brand. Specialized in women’s shoe design, the label also offers children’s and wedding collections and plans to expand to men's shoes also. "Sexy Thing", "Wild Thing" and "Powder Puff" are some of the brand’s most popular designs.

Edgardo Osorio began his first fashion internship, in Colombia, his native country, when he was only 14 years old. Two years later, he moved to London where he joined the London College of Fashion. But his college experience was short as he quickly moved to Italy to work as a shoe and accessories designer at Salvatore Ferragamo. When he was 23, he was appointed Head of the Shoe Department at Roberto Cavalli while he continued to study at the Polimoda Institute. In 2011, at age 25, he co-founded his own luxury shoe brand Aquazzura.
