Maria La Rosa

Maria La Rosa

This Fall/Winter season, once again Maria La Rosa socks combine high-end traditional manufacturing and a fun and contemporary style with stripes, girly patterns and pearls. The perfect accessory to add a final touch to any outfit.

Maria La Rosa launched her eponymous brand in the 90s by chance. At the time, American and Japanese buyers discovered the Italian fashion designer’s creations. She quickly met success and started to design tights and socks for famous brands: Rochas, Vanessa Bruno, Moschino, Trussardi, Vera Wang, Blumarine and Louis Vuitton were among her customers. In 2004, her daughters Lisa and Alice joined the family business, bringing their dynamism and freshness.

As a child, Maria La Rosa already loved knitting and weaving. She undid and reknitted old sweaters. After a few years working in the Italian fashion industry in Milan, she found an old loom in an antique shop, on the banks of the Seine in Paris. A few years later in Salento, where she owns a country house with her husband, she discovered a second loom that is now exposed in her Milan showroom. As an outstanding designer, who unleashes her creativity, she quickly seduced foreign buyers and major brands in search of high-end accessories.
