Toga Pulla Yasuko Furuta launched the Toga brand in 1997 with the aim of creating original pieces that allow the to wearer develop a style of her own. Blending modern and traditional influences, creations by Toga Pulla (the second line from the Japanese brand) have quickly found their audience, appearing on the feet and arms of famous fashionistas from Chloë Sevigny to Susie Lau.
After a childhood spent in Japan, Yasuko Furuta studied in Paris and graduated from ESDMOD in 1994. Back in Japan, she then worked for three years as a television stylist before becoming a costume designer. In 1997, she founded the Toga brand, whose name is a celebration of clothing in its simplest form. Launched a few years later, the Toga Pulla line focuses on everyday staples.
