For her Fall-Winter 2017/18 collection, Tory Burch was inspired by the movie "Indiscretion" and more specifically by the Tracy Lord character, interpreted by Katharine Hepburn. The American designer’s preppy chic style fits perfectly with the character. Tory Burch replaced the Double T logo with her initials embroidered in cursive writing on pockets, hips and lavallière bow ties. Sporty or chic, but above all furiously retro, the collection also features flower prints, Prince of Wales check and a few touches of fur for the texture. The Juliette satchel rules the accessories world, available in several sizes, materials and colors. A new must-have.
In 2004, Tory Burch founded her eponymous brand intending to fill a gap in the marketplace, offering both fashionable and contemporary accessories and clothes. Her motto: affordable luxury. The designer quickly became famous for her stylish preppy-boho pieces. After receiving several fashion awards, the Tory Burch Empire expanded in 2015 with the Tory Sport activewear brand.
Tory Burch was born on June 17, 1966 in Pennsylvania. After graduating in art history, she moved to New York to begin a career in fashion, working for the Zoran brand. Specialized in public relations and advertising, she was employed by several famous labels such as Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang and Loewe in the days of Narciso Rodriguez. In 2004, the fashion designer founded her eponymous brand, aiming to open three stores within five years. The following year, she received the Fashion Group International Rising Star Award for Best New Store Concept, then the CFDA Award for Accessory Designer of the Year in 2008. In 2016, Tory Burch was ranked 73rd of Forbes Magazine’s Most Powerful Women in the World.
