Collection Charlotte Chesnais
Charlotte Chesnais founded her eponymous jewelry brand in 2015 after nine years at Balenciaga working with Nicolas Ghesquière. Freelance at the time, she started solo and designed a collection in three months. A success, as she received the ANDAM Fashion Accessories Prize for it. As she presented her line during Paris Fashion Week, she was spotted by the Style.com editor who wrote an article about her and helped her become a renowned young jewelry designer. Though they may look quite simple, Charlotte Chesnais creations are actually extremely complex. Often defying the laws of physics, they are made of silver and / or vermeil. Since 2016, the designer has also created a jewelry collection.
Charlotte Chesnais, who was born in 1985, left her native Sarthe region at the age of 17 to study at Studio Berçot in Paris. She began her career at Ungaro, then managed by Vincent Darré. At only 19, she joined Balenciaga as an assistant to Nicolas Ghesquière. In addition to ready-to-wear, the fashion designer quickly entrusted her with the creative direction of the label’s jewelry. After nine years, she launched her eponymous brand in 2015, while continuing to design Paco Rabanne jewelry. Shortly after, she was awarded the ANDAM Fashion Accessories Prize.
