For the fall-winter 2018 season, Furla is sticking to its reputation and offering fun and colorful accessories. Leading the race, the must-have Metropolis, which comes in several shades, materials and formats, with the Metropolis Mini, the Metropolis Crossbody and the Metropolis Jungle ranges. More hits this season: the Mughetto bag, an undeniably chic top handle bag with an enamel clasp introduced last spring, the Fenice, the Ducale and the Nuvola Metropolis. A fine selection.

 

Aldo Furlanetto founded the Furla brand in 1927 in Bologna. At the time, the company specialized in women’s accessory wholesale. It was not until 1955 that the label opened its first store in its hometown and much later that it released a first collection. During the 70s and 80s, when Aldo Furlanetto's children joined their father in the family business, they launched a first home accessory line and their first bags. Since then, the brand has expanded its business to men's accessories as well as glasses and jewelry.

 

Since 2010 Fabio Fusi has been Creative Director of Furla. The Italian fashion designer is not at his first attempt. Among his extensive experience: Salvatore Ferragamo, Dolce and Gabbana or Cartier. His main success within the Bolognese label is the Metropolis, the brand’s iconic bag, which sold several million copies since its creation in 2014.
