Vanessa Bruno is all about colour this Spring. With deckchair stripes, light materials and a neutral palette, light truly is the watchword of her Riviera-inspired collection. The Paris-based designer stays on track for Spring-Summer 2019 with a collection aimed at women who crave understated elegance. This season is all about low-key chic, with a few masculine touches that add another layer to the story. The iconic tote remains her key accessory, in summery linen and natural or dyed raffia. French seductiveness at its most discreet.

 

Vanessa Bruno founded her eponymous brand in 1996 before opening her first shop in Paris in 1998, the year she launched her now iconic tote. Her bohemian style quickly became a hit and in the early 2000s, Vanessa Bruno's name became associated with Parisian casual chic. In 2011, following her success, she collaborated with La Redoute before offering a fragrance created with the Biotherm brand called "L’eau".

 

As Vanessa Bruno’s mother was a model and her father worked at Cacharel, she was always surrounded by fashion. She started as a model herself and moved to Canada at the age of 15. However, she was more interested in creation. Back in Paris, the young fashion designer trained with Michel Klein, Dorothée Bis and Daniel Hechter. In 1996, she decided to strike out on her own and launched her eponymous brand.
