Collection Rejina Pyo

She has said it time and time again: for several years, Rejina Pyo did everything she could to fit in with the vision of the agents and advisers telling her to stick to various trends. Ready to shut up shop, she decided to give herself one last chance by only designing clothes she would actually wear herself, and lo and behold, the collection was a hit. What's more, for her Autumn-Winter 2019 collection, the South Korean designer has once again taken London by storm with styles that reflect her own, where materials, colours and cuts come together in a joyous celebration of femininity and originality. But how does this wardrobe translate to everyday life? It's a collection with endless possibilities, where dresses, tops and coats can be mixed and matched with pieces from the collection or clothes you already have in your wardrobe.

The brand Rejina Pyo was founded in 2014. From modest beginnings, all it took was a fashion show at London Fashion Week (its spring-summer 2018 collection) and a certain design, the Olivia bag, to confirm the designer's reputation for unique and timeless aesthetics. Rejina Pyo's colourful and sought-after pieces are even more impressive in that they're suitable for everyday wear, incorporated into a personal style while still standing out. Architectural heels, unusually proportioned bags and ready-to-wear garments with intricate details, Rejina Pyo's creations have already been spotted on the arms and feet of all the greatest influencers during the catwalk season.
Initially intended for women, in 2019 the brand announced its plan to launch a men's line.

A native of Seoul, Rejina Pyo’s first foray into fashion was in the capital of South Korea. After graduating from Art School in the city, she earned her stripes in a department store where she created several pieces, before taking off for London to study design at Central Saint Martins under the celebrated Louise Wilson. She stood out from the other students, and almost immediately after graduating, in 2011, became head assistant at Roksanda Ilincic where she stayed for three years. In 2014, the designer - whose mother was a fashion and interiors designer and her father a gallery owner - launched her eponymous brand. In December 2017, Rejina Pyo won the Samsung Fashion Design Award before reaching the final stages of the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund 2019.
