Rue de Verneuil
For its Fall/Winter 2017 collection, the brand Rue de Verneuil plays with color and fabrics. With new colors for the flannel Baby Tote bag, the French label also adopted one of the main trends this season, tartan. The fabric, added on all the brand’s bags, gives them a little touch of color that will enhance our winter looks.
The Parisian brand Rue de Verneuil was founded in 2014. The label offers minimalist basic cotton bags for men and women in various shapes: totes, satchels but also bucket bags, school bags and duffel bags. Apart from some specific patterns (chevrons, stripes, leopard ...), designs are generally based on a large palette of solid colors. In 2016, the designer explained the brand “is about getting back to basics, with a simple and elegant line. Non-conformist, luxurious but affordable, sold only in very selective stores.” The label’s main strength is pricing. Hand-made in Paris, Rue de Verneuil bags are generally available for less than 200 euros, an exception in luxury.
Before designing handbags, Vincent Ribat, the founder of the brand Rue de Verneuil, worked as an interior designer. In 2014, this “luggage lover” launched the label Rue de Verneuil, in reference to the location of his design studio. Inspired by the art of the 1930s and the Riviera, the fashion designer’s creations are also influenced by minimalism.
