This season, Tory Burch brings us a collaborative collection. For 2018 Spring-Summer 2018, the American designer called the son of the interior architect David Hicks, who opened up his father’s archive. The line comes with graphic motifs and flowers as designed by the artist himself. Bright colours, geometric shapes and a real seventies vibe form the basis of this collection that reads like a stylish, light Spring extravaganza. The flowery accessories, jewellery and shoes are all present and correct, as well as a special edition of the Half-Moon bag and the iconic Fleming.
In 2004, Tory Burch founded her eponymous brand intending to fill a gap in the marketplace, offering both fashionable and contemporary accessories and clothes. Her motto: affordable luxury. The designer quickly became famous for her stylish preppy-boho pieces. After receiving several fashion awards, the Tory Burch Empire expanded in 2015 with the Tory Sport activewear brand.
Tory Burch was born on June 17, 1966 in Pennsylvania. After graduating in art history, she moved to New York to begin a career in fashion, working for the Zoran brand. Specialized in public relations and advertising, she was employed by several famous labels such as Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang and Loewe in the days of Narciso Rodriguez. In 2004, the fashion designer founded her eponymous brand, aiming to open three stores within five years. The following year, she received the Fashion Group International Rising Star Award for Best New Store Concept, then the CFDA Award for Accessory Designer of the Year in 2008. In 2016, Tory Burch was ranked 73rd of Forbes Magazine’s Most Powerful Women in the World.
